Made for this climate

Why it works in Bangladesh

Good fit for Bangladesh weather because it rinses off completely and leaves nothing to sit under clothes in humidity.

Product breakdown

What it does — and what's inside

What it's for

  • Rough, bumpy texture on arms, thighs and back
  • Dull, uneven body tone
  • Dark patches on elbows, knees and underarms
  • Rough heels and feet
  • Body care between shower and moisturizer

What's inside

  • Kojic Acid
  • Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract
  • Gluconolactone (PHA)
  • Citric Acid (AHA)
  • Niacinamide
  • Retinol
  • Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (stable Vitamin C)
  • Panthenol
  • Vitamin B complex (Biotin, Riboflavin, Thiamine, Pyridoxine, Folic Acid)

Application

How to use it

  1. 1 Use in the shower, on dry skin, before you wet the area.
  2. 2 Spray an even layer over the rough patch and leave for about a minute.
  3. 3 Rub gently with your palm until the product balls up and lifts away dead skin.
  4. 4 Rinse off with lukewarm water.
  5. 5 Pat dry and follow immediately with a body moisturizer.
  6. 6 Use twice a week at most, never more.

Routine placement

Where it fits

Shower, twice a week at most: Spray on dry skin -> rub -> rinse -> Body moisturizer while skin is still damp

Every other day: Normal body wash -> Body moisturizer

This is a body product and sits outside your face routine entirely. The moisturizer straight after is not optional, because an exfoliated body left bare is what turns this into itching.

Realistic expectations

What to expect, and when

Use 1 to 2
Skin feels immediately smoother where you used it.
Week 3 to 4
Bumps on arms and thighs feel noticeably flatter.
Week 8 onward
Dark, rough patches start to look more even.

Be realistic about the vitamins on the label. Retinol, vitamin C and the B complex all sit at the very end of the ingredient list on a product you rinse off after sixty seconds, so treat this as an exfoliant that happens to contain them, not as a treatment. The smoothing is real. The brightening is slow and mostly comes from removing dead skin rather than from the actives.

Good to know

This might not be for you

  • Avoid using this on your face. It is formulated for body and feet, and the essential oil load is too high for facial skin.
  • Avoid if lavender, lemon, orange, mandarin, rosemary or cedarwood oil has irritated you before, as this contains all of them.
  • Avoid on freshly shaved or waxed skin, and on cuts, sunburn or eczema.
  • Avoid on the same day as another body acid or scrub.
  • Avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding without checking with your doctor, as the formula contains retinol.
  • Stop using if irritation continues.

Authenticity

How to know it's genuine

Sourced through verified importers, never grey-market resellers.

Genuine Dr. Melaxin cartons carry a Korean batch code and manufacture date that match the code printed on the bottle, under an intact seal, with a working fine-mist trigger. The liquid is a pale yellow-pink and smells distinctly citrus and herbal from the peel oils. A colourless, odourless spray is not this product.

If anything about your unit looks wrong, message us with photos and we will replace it.

Questions, answered

Before you buy

Can I use this on my face?

No. It is a body and foot exfoliant. It contains lavender, lemon, mandarin, orange, rosemary and cedarwood oils at levels intended for body skin, and facial skin will not thank you. Use the COSRX BHA liquid or the Ordinary peel for your face instead.

Will it help with keratosis pilaris, the bumps on my arms?

That is exactly what it is built for. Expect smoother skin within a few uses and flatter bumps within a month, as long as you moisturize after every single use.

Why does it clump up when I rub it?

That is the intended behaviour. The formula uses a polymer that balls up as you rub, carrying loosened dead skin with it. The clumps are not your skin peeling off.

Can I use it more than twice a week?

We would not. It combines acids, a PHA and mechanical rubbing in one step, and body skin on arms and legs is drier than most people expect. Twice weekly is the ceiling.
